The River is a metaphor for the continuous flow of life often recurring in the works of the international Siberian artist Svetlana Borisova.
This is how the artist remembers her thoughts as a child:
"Since I was a child I had a thought, a question for the Universe: where do the people I met go when they leave their physical body? And if they really die, why do I continue to hear them? And finally one day I receive an illumination! Here is the answer: they do not really die but pass to another river, the River of Spirit, where they can rest their Souls, reorganize themselves and return to us again to continue the path of Evolution ... towards Infinity."
